Megan began her career in medicine as a nurse in 2017 and has worked in both the progressive care and labor and delivery settings.  Working as a nurse, increased her desire to have a larger impact on her community and provide care for a larger portion of the population.  Working as a nurse allowed her to care for patients and their current acute conditions.  Being a Nurse Practitioner allows her to continue her relationships with her patients.  She enjoys looking at their entire healthcare status, and the opportunity to see them across their entire lifespan. 

Megan’s goal as a provider is to bring positive change and stable access to healthcare to her hometown community by providing quality evidence-based care.  As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Megan is able to offer many of the same services as a family physician including performing wellness exams and diagnosing and treating illnesses including upper respiratory tract infections, flu, UTIs, and seasonal allergies

Getting to Know Megan Cheatham:

When not working Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and family.  She also participates in the Tri County Community Band as a flute player.  She enjoys getting to live in her hometown.  She finds it to be one of the most beautiful places to live, and enjoys the sense of community wherever she goes.
