Elias Issa, MD, FCCP is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Issa's education included a B.S. in Chemistry that was followed by an MD in 1996. After his MD was acquired his training pedigree included a residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Issa's research interests have taken him to Johns Hopkins Bayview (Baltimore, MD) where he researched in Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Issa joined Fannin Regional Hospital in November 2005 and since that time his clinical experiences included Pulmonary, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist, Hospice, and Palliative Care Medicine. Moreover, he is the Medical Director of the Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Lab at Fannin Regional Hospital and he is also the Director of Heartlite Hospice of Ellijay, Georgia.
Dr. Issa holds professional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). He also holds professional memberships which include the American College of Chest Physicians, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Georgia Association of Sleep Professionals.
