Sarah began her career in medicine as a nurse in 2017 and has worked in both the general medicine and ICU settings. As a native to Blue Ridge, Sarah knew that she wanted to be able to serve her community in the Family Medicine setting which motivated her to pursue her education as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She appreciates how Family Medicine allows her to build lasting relationships with her patients and their families.
Sarah’s goal as a provider is to help improve her patient’s health and quality of life. She believes in listening to her patients and allowing them the opportunity to play an active part in setting their healthcare goals. She will then work with them to help them achieve their goals. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Sarah is able to offer many of the same services as a family physician including performing wellness exams and diagnosing and treating illnesses including upper respiratory tract infections, flu, UTIs, and seasonal allergies. She is also able to help patients manage a wide variety of chronic conditions including diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension, and thyroid disease.
